Latihan CARAT 2015 Indonesia dan AS cukup spesial, karena unit unit Angkatan Laut Indonesia cukup lengkap, untuk mendukung digelarnya sejumlah latihan perang. Pelaut melakukan latihan anti kapal permukaan dan anti serangan udara, Kopaska melakukan latihan manuver dan taktik serangan kapal boat. Sementara marinir melakukan latihan pendaratan dan penguasaan wilayah pesisir.
Latihan operasi pendarat yang didukung USMC dilakukan di Banongan agar memiliki ruang manuver yang cukup untuk mencapai tujuan pelatihan gabungan dari kekuatan pendaratan.
Latihan berbasis Laut, dengan misi meningkatkan interoperabilitas antara amfibi Angkatan Bersenjata Indonesia dan Angkatan Bersenjata Amerika Serikat (US Navy). Latihan ini menjadi Assault Amphibious gabungan. Peningkatan interoperabilitas dicapai melalui perencanaan gabungan staf, dikombinasikan rehersals taktis, dan perilaku pendaratan amfibi gabungan.
Selain itu, pasukan USMC dan Kormar akan bertukar techinques pada AAV kerja taktis dan pemeliharaan, infanteri senjata kerja, reconaissance amfibi, pertempuran keahlian menembak, patroli, keahlian menembak presisi (sniper) dan pengawasan, 60mm kerja mortir, dan hutan operasi teknik bertahan hidup.
Angkatan Laut AS dan Korps Marinir unit berpartisipasi dalam CARAT Indonesia termasuk dipandu -rudal perusak USS Preble (DDG 88), kapal tempur pesisir USS Fort Worth (SKB 3), kapal USS Germantown dermaga pendaratan (LCD 42), menyelamatkan dan kapal USNS Safeguard penyelamatan, serangan kapal selam cepat, pesawat P – 3C Orion , Marinir [insert Unit], staf dari KKP 73 dan CDS 7, Ponsel Diving dan salvage Unit (MDSU) 1, Ordnance Disposal peledak dan Unit (EODMU) 5 , Pantai Riverine Group (CRG) 1, dan 7 Armada Band, ” Orient Express.
